About C5 Accelerate

C5 Accelerate is a London, Washington D.C., and Bahrain based technology investment firm. C5 Accelerate is developing a Cloud Accelerator Cluster in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States, alongside Amazon Web Services. Its mission is to accelerate best-of-breed start-ups to meet the growth opportunity being created by the geographic expansion of AWS, the world’s leading cloud computing platform.

C5A invests in for-profit companies that help accelerate our impact and extend our reach by building innovative solutions that are self-sustainable and scalable. We lead and co-invest alongside traditional and impact investors. As our Principal, you will report into our Chief Operating officer and be a key team player in originating new investments, conducting market, business, product, financial and legal diligence, as well as actively monitoring and supporting our portfolio companies. Applying rigorous investment discipline to making seed and Series A venture investments. This role is for an investment professional with demonstrated experience sourcing, negotiating and executing seed and Series A capital investments. The successful candidate will care deeply about impact in our initiative areas and will be excited to leverage their honed investment skills to achieve our impact objectives.


This is a salaried full-time position paying between $100,000 and $110,000 dependant on experience. This role will be eligible for bonus and carried interest in the Impact Fund

You’ll Be Expected To

• Help grow and manage the portfolio of startups and entrepreneurs
• Establish and manage KPIs, and provide both impact reporting as well as financial reporting
• Establish best practices and guide members of the sourcing team
• Generate leads for new investment and co-investment opportunities
• Build and maintain relations with startup founders and management teams to help them grow and succeed
• Build and maintain relations with Venture Capital firms, Angel Groups and Accelerators
• Continually find ways to improve our processes across the board
• Oversee coordination of presentations and present new opportunities to our Investment
• Execute of venture investments by identifying, evaluating, and executing new investments
• Responsible for playing a key role in managing impact, business, market, product, financial and
legal diligence
• Create term sheets for new investments
• Oversee transaction closing processes, ensuring compliance and regulatory obligations are

The Minimum Requirements Are

• BA/BS degree from a top-tier institution
• At least 5 years significant experience (Senior Associate, VP or Principal level) sourcing
investment opportunities at a top-tier Seed or Venture Capital fund, Growth Equity fund, or
Private Equity fund
• Proven track record of sourcing, evaluating and closing deals
• Proven track record of building and managing a team
• Excellent finance and accounting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading investments and advising companies
• Strong analytical skills
