About C5 Accelerate
C5 Accelerate is a London, Washington D.C., and Bahrain based technology investment firm. C5 Accelerate is developing a Cloud Accelerator Cluster in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States, alongside Amazon Web Services. Its mission is to accelerate best-of-breed start-ups to meet the growth opportunity being created by the geographic expansion of AWS, the world’s leading cloud computing platform.
The Director of Business Development will help our team develop new client and partner relationships. This will include, but not limited to prospecting and connecting with companies for new business opportunities. Deep understanding of tracking, nurturing and closing opportunities is critical to success. Adapting the offering for each partner to optimize for performance is key.
Proven business getting and fund rasing experience is a pre-requisite for this role. This is NOT a role where you will be deploying funds or choosing investments.
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer based in London, the Head of Partnerships, and the Program Director, based in Washington D.C.
As the Director of Business Development you will be responsible for recruiting and on boarding innovation partners and sponsors, the core revenue stream for C5 Accelerate. You will need to have a commercial outlook and a nose for opportunities. You will tailor partnership benefits for the potential partner to maximise their ROI. Amongst the key benefits to partners are the access to a pipeline of talented entrepreneurs graduating from our accelerators. The portfolio currently consists of 62 fast growth tech companies and growing at around 20 companies every six months.
Your network should include, C-level executives at large Corporate Institutions, Development organisations, Angel Investors, High-Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices, and Venture Capital Firms.
$70,000 – $90,000 Dependent on Experience and Uncapped Commission
There is an unlimited earning potential in this role as there will be a commission structure in place ensuring that you are always incentivized and rewarded based on your performance.
• The role will cover the following areas:
• Build relationships with potential partners
• Provide reporting on sales pipeline
• Meet quarterly targets
• Attend events and network with potential partners and investors
• Source new investors, including, but not limited to, Angel Investors, High-Net Worth
Individuals, Family Offices and Venture Capital Firms
• Follow investor interest through to them making an investment
• Help develop systems to manage the investor network
